Vivva is a personal storytelling app. This policy explains how Vivva handles information.
Summary
Vivva is built to keep stories on the iPhone. An account is not required, and the app does not upload recordings, photos, or transcripts to remote servers.
Information on your device
When Vivva is used, the following may be stored locally on the device:
- Story titles and transcripts
- Audio recordings created in the app
- Photos chosen to attach
- Optional photo metadata (such as date or location embedded in a photo)
- App preferences (for example, transcription language and reminder settings)
This content stays on the device unless it is shared through the system share sheet (for example, Messages or WhatsApp).
On-device transcription
Vivva uses Apple’s speech technologies to transcribe recordings on the device. Apple may download speech language assets to the iPhone. Recordings are not sent elsewhere for transcription by Vivva.
Purchases (optional tips)
Optional tips are processed by Apple as In-App Purchases. Apple handles payment information under Apple’s privacy policy. Tips do not unlock features and do not require creating an account.
Maps
If stories include location from a photo, Vivva may display those places using Apple Maps. Map tiles are provided by Apple. Vivva does not collect location for advertising or profiling.
Notifications
If the daily reminder is enabled, Vivva schedules a local notification on the device. Reminder content is not sent to remote servers.
Data Vivva does not collect
Vivva does not operate a backend that stores stories. Vivva does not sell personal information. Vivva does not use stories for advertising.
Children’s privacy
Vivva is not directed at children under 13. Stories kept on a personal device remain under that person’s control.
Choices
- Delete stories in the app to remove them from the device
- Disable reminders in Settings
- Control microphone, speech recognition, photo, and notification access in iOS Settings
